Catherine McIlraith holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. She is also a Fellow of the Mauritius Institute of Directors. She began her career with Ernst & Young in Johannesburg before moving into investment banking, where she held senior positions in financial institutions including BoE NatWest, BoE Merchant Bank and Investec Bank (Mauritius) Limited. Catherine McIlraith has extensive board-level experience and currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Phoenix Beverages Limited, CIEL Ltd, GRIT Real Estate Income Group Limited as well as on the boards of several private companies and on some of their board committees. She has also served as Chairperson of the Mauritius Institute of Directors and as a member of the Financial Reporting Council. Catherine McIlraith was appointed to the Board of Directors of Harel Mallac & Co. Ltd in June 2026.
